II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

Unimog provides completely new possibilities thanks to the efficient two differential municipal hydraulics. Unimog is a remarkable vehicle for example for use with gritting apparatus and snow-plough, and is thereby well suited for construction sites in cities and regions.

Unimog handles classic assignments such as road maintenance and transport with municipal equipment equally as well as wading through water up to 1.2 metres and driving through rough terrain. This means technical assistance as well as rescue or salvage for example in flooded areas that are inaccessible to other vehicles. Not least, the tyre pressure control and the high maximum load are valuable here. Notodden Municipality has lots of equipment that can only be paired with Unimog which will continue to be used. As fare at Notodden Municipality is aware there are no other vehicles with the same characteristics and that can use the existing equipment. Therefore, Unimog is still chosen when we have to replace the old one.

Selected tenderer NorMog AS, Heiasvingen 36, 1900 Fetsund has sole rights to the sale of Unimog in Norway.

As far as Notodden Municipality is aware there are no other suppliers who deliver vehicles with equivalent characteristics, and that can use the existing equipment Notodden Municipality is already using.
